AUDIOBOOK
“My Life as a Goddess: A Memoir Through (Un) Popular Culture” by Guy Branum, narrated by the author – This is one of the best audiobooks I have listened to in a long time. As you know I love audiobooks read by the authors, but Guy takes it to the next level. He is a masterful storyteller and his background in stand-up comes through everywhere. This memoir covers Guy’s childhood in Yuba City, California, and continues through college and law school. His life has many ups and downs, including a stint on “Chelsea Lately.” He does cover his relationship with Chelsea Handler. Usually when I recommend a book, it is based on the content not the format, but with this book, I believe you will miss out if you do not listen to the audiobook. It is available as a book on CD and is also available to download in Overdrive.
