Tragic and sad. These types of crimes are encouraged by the anti-gay, anti-trans rhetoric which is spouted by right-wing politicians, mostly to energize their base to vote. The two members of Congress for Colorado Springs and the adjacent area are both anti-LGBTQIA. US Rep. Lauren Bobert, who won her race by 950 votes, sends her “thoughts and prayers,” but only after tweeting numerous anti-trans, anti-gay garbage for the past few years. If we want to stop this garbage, we need to vote for change.
