The show kicked off with a musical performance to the 5th Dimension’s “Age of Aquarius.” “Zumanity’s” Mistress of Sensuality, EDIE, and Sean McAllister, from FOX 5’s MORE Show, returned as host, and introduced over 200 performers from more than 21 Strip shows and community organizations as they sang, danced, and defi ed gravity with aerial acrobatics.

Performers from top Las Vegas shows gathered and volunteered their time and talents to support the benefi t showcase, including The Bronx Wanderers, Murray Sawchuck, Chippendales, Tenors of Rock, Clint Holmes, Pablo Gadda, and cast members from “Mystere,” “VEGAS! The Show,” “Zumanity,”, “X-Burlesque,” “Vegas Gone Country,” “Zombie Burlesque,” “Crazy Girls,” “Faaabulous! The Show,” “Fantasy,” “Legends in Concert,” “Post Modern Jukebox,” “Wow- The Vegas Spectacular,” and many more. In addition to the worldclass performers of the Strip, students from various high schools, performed “Dance to the Music” by Sly & The Family Stone.

During the show, a moving video, entitled “Finding Home,” told the story of three clients and their former living situations. Prior to connecting with Golden Rainbow, all three clients were living on the streets in unsafe conditions. Golden Rainbow’s Executive Director Gary Costa and Ribbon of Life’s Producer Pietra Sardelli then took the stage to discuss their capital campaign efforts to purchase a new housing facility. The new facility would provide more community members with aff ordable and safe housing.

“There are over 6,100 homeless individuals living in our community, hundreds of which are living with HIV and AIDS,” said Costa. “Years ago it was easy to fi nd aff ordable housing here in Las Vegas but because of the real estate market, things have changed. The new housing facility you saw could be the solution, but we need the community’s help to make this dream a reality. ”

Following the show, attendees brought the party to the Havana Room where they danced and enjoyed additional performances from members of the cast. Partygoers danced to hits like “Dancing Queen,” “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!,” and “Best of my Love,” as they enjoyed appetizers and drinks.
