Las Vegas Realtor Tim Dunn received the Community Business Award at the 10th Annual Compete Sports Diversity Awards ceremony Jan. 16 at the Flamingo.

Dunn, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Nevada Properties, has been an LGBTQ+ activist in Las Vegas for decades. Years ago, he performed as Dionne Warwick, in “An Evening at La Cage” at the Riviera. Today, he is great friends with the entertainer, a longtime advocate.

Dunn later became a successful sales director for Johnson and Johnson. Today, he is busy building his real estate business and is still active in local LGBTQ+ issues.

“I am completely overwhelmed and extremely grateful to be recognized both personally and professionally and receive an award for simply doing what I feel is right: Committing in an unwavering manner to diversity, inclusion , equal opportunity, and contributing to the community. For me, this award in particular is extremely special,” Dunn said during the night of the ceremony.

The Annual Compete Sports Diversity Awards was all part of the Sin City Classic weekend that drew more than 8,000 LGBTQ+ athletes to the valley
